NCAA Softball Tournament

For the last six years, the Botetourt County Sports Complex has hosted a Women’s Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament as a fundraiser for Military Family Support Center.  This event has grown over the  years and now includes several Division 1 NCAA Women’s Softball teams.  Annual participants include James Madison University, Radford University, the University of Virginia, and Virginia Tech.  Previous attendance have included Liberty University, Longwood University and the University of Tennessee.

On October 17, 2015, the 7th Annual Military Appreciation and College Softball Invitational will be proud to host the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team.  The WWAST is comprised of veterans and active duty service personnel who have lost a portion of their limbs during their service to country.  The WWAST travels the nation playing in competitive softball tournaments  to advocate and raise money for veterans.
